Guillermo has over 35 years of experience in Financial, Administration and Operational Leadership Positions, with a background in developing policies and programs to manage billion-dollar and multimillion-dollar functions. He possesses excellent analytical skills applied to financial, business and technology operations with a track record of success in achieving multimillion-dollar cost savings and the development of ground breaking operational programs.
During his career within the private sector, nonprofits, government (veteran of the US Air Force), and United Nations organizations, Guillermo has been recognized for his extensive financial knowledge combined with deep experience in all organizational functional areas including finance, business development, human resources, information technology, and operations. He is exceptionally skilled in merging strategic vision and mission with specific, actionable plans and solutions.
As a seasoned and senior finance and operations executive, Guillermo has led and provided executive-level oversight of CFO, CIO, CHRO, CPO functions concurrently for global and regional organizations for a period of 8 years. In addition, he has held leadership positions in Japan, Korea, and Honduras during his career.

Personally, Guillermo is an advocate for those who need social, legal or financial assistance. He has been appointed to many boards, commissions, and committees throughout his career. In May 2018, he was appointed to serve a two-year term on the Audit and Finance Committee of the Global Fund with headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. He is currently also Board Chairman, of Express Microfinanzas SAS, a Bogota, Colombia based Microfinance Institution which provides small business micro loan products. Previously, he served as the Board Treasurer of Ayuda Inc., a Washington DC based not for profit that provides legal and social services to the immigrant communities. Previous board/commission appointments included the Horizon Foundation in Howard County Maryland; Commissioner of the Baltimore City Veteran’s Commission; and Member of the Howard County, Maryland Human Rights Commission.
Guillermo holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting degree from East Texas State University (now Texas A&M University-Commerce) Master of Science Degree in Professional in Accounting from Strayer University. He is a member of the American Institute of Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Greater Washington Society of CPAs (GWSCPA)
Guillermo has been married to the former Daira Lee of Panama for 35 years are proud parents of 3 children, but especially proud to be grandparents of two.
